  • Thin slices of white chocolate with natural vanilla and a hint of sea salt, sprinkled with crispy cocoa nibs. We use organic cocoa butter for this white chocolate, which we buy directly from the Conacado farmers' cooperative in the Dominican Republic. The white chocolate with crunchy cocoa nibs (roasted cocoa beans that have been shelled) is extremely tasty. The cocoa beans travel by sailing ship the Tres Hombres on wind power from the Caribbean, in about four months across the Atlantic, to the quay in Amsterdam. In our chocolate factory we make 'single origin' bio-chocolate using traditional methods, entirely on solar energy!

Redefining chocolate bit by bite.

The Dominican Republic is a key supplier of Trinitario cocoa. Our partner Conacado, a cooperative of 10,000 small farmers, pioneered the shift to well-fermented organic and Fairtrade cocoa. Across seven regional facilities, they ferment and dry cocoa under strict quality control. Organic farming enhances biodiversity by enriching soil life and improving water balance.

Some of our cocoa travels to Amsterdam the old- school way — by sailboat. It’s slower, but saves over a ton of CO2 per trip. We keep our logistics short and clean, using cargo bikes, trains, and low-emission partners wherever possible.
