Farmers Cooperative Norandino

Shop Peru

This organic and Fairtrade cocoa is grown by the Awajún along the banks of the Cenepa and Rio Santiago rivers in the Amazon rainforest. They are members of the NorAndino cooperative, an organisation with approximately 5000 members, including 1800 cocoa farmers, spread across northern Peru, both on the coastal side and the Amazon side. We are also assisting NorAndino with a special project.

  • Our journey

    FROM BEAN TO BAR

    Grown with purpose

We source our cocoa directly from farmer cooperatives in agroforests that protect biodiversity and restore ecosystems. By paying well above market prices, we ensure farmers earn a living income — supporting local healthcare, education, and sustainable farming.

    Shipped with Purpose

Some of our cocoa travels to Amsterdam the old- school way — by sailboat. It’s slower, but saves over a ton of CO2 per trip. We keep our logistics short and clean, using cargo bikes, trains, and low-emission partners wherever possible.

    Crafted in Amsterdam

In our solar-powered factory, we roast, grind, conche, and mold every bar ourselves. From second-hand machines to compostable wrappers, every choice we make reflects our commitment to delicious chocolate that’s good for people and the planet.
